Rogé

Rogé began his career as an art director in advertising agencies before turning towards illustration.

Recognized both at home and abroad, he has received numerous awards for the quality of his work. In addition to winning the Prix des libraires du Québec twice and a Grand Prix Lux, he also won the prestigious Governor General’s Literary Award in 2002 and 2015. He was also featured on the New York Times’ list of the 10 best illustrated books of 2014.

Rogé lives and works in Montreal. He is currently devoting himself to non-figurative painting.

“These four works are a tribute to the poetry of les Îles-de-la-Madeleine in Northern Quebec. I was so inspired by the power and beauty of the surrounding natural environment, a new-found creativity sprung out of me, allowing me to create in a way I had never explored before.”
